Para la libertad recreates the poet’s life and work on stage, using Serrat’s music as the driving force behind the plot to create a comprehensive show that combines the finest verbatim theater with live performances of songs from that historic album: Las nanas de la cebolla (Onion Lullabies), La elegía a Ramón Sijé (The Elegy to Ramón Sijé), Llegó con tres herida (He Arrived with Three Wounds), and El niño yuntero (The Yuntero Boy), among others.

With the support and guidance of Joan Manuel Serrat himself, Okapi Producciones Teatrales presents this work that will move viewers by taking them on a fascinating journey through the culture and history of the 20th century. A group of actors and musicians will recreate the poet’s life with the beauty of his language and the masterful music of Maestro Serrat, the genius who has provided the soundtrack to our lives for several generations in Spain and the Americas.
